Almost Perfect...
Interior Room - window to a wall. . . and a very, very bad breakfast (incredible, cause de food is very good at the bar, and in all restaurants that we've been)

Exceptionally comfortable pillows that ensured a restful night's sleep.
The twin room felt a bit neglected and could use a refurbishment.

Stayed here for 3 nights and didn't want to leave. Everything about this small hotel was excellant. The venue had accommodating staff who made the stay really nice. The room was neat and stylish with the comfort & cleanliness, decent shower, large wardrobe and the location was magnificent. The breakfast was satisfactory with plenty of dishes.

The location was great. The staff tried to be helpful but the noise factor is overwhelming.
The noise from the street and the bar is unbelievable. \Hwling in the night. The bar nextdoor is out of control. We used a white noise machine and so we were only awaken a few times. We also used music in our room to muffle the sound. Rab Ha's is a great place for young people who are going to stay out late and miss the noise.

Didn't expect much from rooms above a bar, but our room was huge. Fixtures and furnishings were designer. Most modern we saw in 16 day tour of Scotland. Hotel doesn't really have staff, the staff works in the bar downstairs. They were excellent. Couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Bar is fun, and if you have a drink in the bar you only have to make it up the stairs. Food was okay.
Some noise at night around closing

The manager was exceptionally friendly and made a formidable cup of coffee. Also the ensuite was quite nice.
The room was very small, the bed uncomfortable and worst of all the window did not insulate the room from cold or noise. We spent the first night mostly awake due to the chilly breeze and the noises of everything from late party goers to early seagulls. I suppose the posterior rooms are more comfortable.

Without a doubt the staff. They really couldn't do enough to help and were friendly.without being familiar the food was good too. This is a slightly off beat hotel in that it was like a really comfortable country pub with rooms in the heart of a city, loved it but those expecting formulaic room service and facilities would not get what they expect. All in all however a good solo experience that I will be repeating with my wife.
ON the down side one or two minor things that are worth mentioning. My room faced onto a busy street with occupied rooms across the way. There were no nets at the windows so unless you wound down the blinds and went to artificial light - not as lot of privacy. No double glazing therefore in it's location could be noisy especially at the weekends and linked to that I discovered a Pifco infra red heater in the wardrobe which suggested that there were times when the heating did not cope. .One word of warning however if you have any mobility issues this is not the hotel for you as the rooms are only accessed, as far as I could see by one fairly steep flight of stairs. However non of the above would stop me, personally, from re-booking.

Great little pub with lots of atmosphere
Really steep stairs up to room, seagulls outside really noisy even with window closed difficult to sleep. Room really basic, expected a bit more to be honest given the history of the building, so much could be done with room to freshen and brighten it up. Asked for double room, got two single beds pushed together.

Wonderful location and very kind, accommodating staff. Very characterful small hotel with both a lovely restaurant and pub on site, but not at all noisy! I would definitely go back!
